How We Can Help

• We can help you trap! We have humane live traps for cats that we can lend out and show you how to trap. If you want an expert trapper on hand, we can provide someone to come out and set traps with you, and handle the cats.
• We can provide transportation to the vet for the cats. We use a vet located in Beverly Shores, Indiana, as it is currently the lowest cost spay/neuter package we can find. We will transport your cats to the vet and back.
• We offer education in various areas, including how to trap cats humanely; how to maintain a proper colony, with food, water, and a lightweight, portable shelter; how to keep records on your colony; and how to avoid becoming a nuisance to your neighbors. We are a great resource if you have any questions about your free-roaming cats.
• On a limited basis, we can offer financial subsidies to colony caretakers who qualify, to help pay for spay/neuter surgery.

We will not help trap your cats to relocate them to another location, or to take them to a shelter. Feral cats will not be accepted at limited-intake shelters, and they will be immediately euthanized at the other shelters because they are not adoptable and are a liability to shelter staff. Trying to relocate cats to another outdoor area is time-consuming, difficult, and usually fails. It is not the best option for the cats, who are already familiar with the areas in which they live, and will struggle if put in a new situation.
